My first naked outside encounter happened when I was probably 10. My cousins dared me to run around our grandmother’s house nude. I took the dare and adored it. If this occasion has taught me anything, it has educated me that I can be accepted for who I choose to be and that there are people out there who might not decide to live the nudist lifestyle but are willing to accept those who do. What a great time and wonderful experience.

Here are some helpful tips:
At home:
When no one is home, (Or if you’re willing to take your chances with someone about) just bare it all and do your normal stuff. The wind blowing against your body feels absolutely fantastic. For those who with their very own rooms, you can lock the doorway and sleep in the nude. Try wearing only shorts (Men) or one piece t-shirt (Girls). This way you can slip in quicker if someone comes about. And for those individuals who share rooms, you can slip off your clothes and sleep in the nude, covered with a blanket of course. In the event you’re scared you’ll kick it away, tuck the sides of the blanket in closely to the sides of the bed. You can even go back and forth the toilet nude, and no one will likely say a thing. This is probably the first step for everyone who intends to tell their parents about their naturist activities. My parents are a bit open-minded, however they have their limitations for nudism. I’m generally permitted to go naked before or after bathing for a short time. Going more than that will justify a frown from them. I’m now working on trying to make my parents come to terms with my nudism.
Outdoors:
If you’re lucky enough to get a nudist beach or facility nearby, then don’t hesitate to visit it. Howeve if you’re unlucky enough (like me), you can always improvise. When you have your own swimming pool, you always have the option to go there. Should you are in possession of a private one, then use it! However, if you live in an apartment (like me, again), you could try going at around 2-3 am. Alternately, go during office hours and school times, when there will be no one. A great way to be safe is to wrap your swimsuit around your hands, so if anyone comes, you can readily slip it on. And, for those who own a park nearby, (Go on exactly the same times as the swimming pool) A great idea in case you’re going to the park or a hike, bring the needed supplies and a plastic bag or a bag to keep your clothes in. I usually bring slippers so I can remove and wear it readily. I would rather go barefoot anyplace, incidentally. If you own a bike, you could try cycling around nude. Constantly think of new ways to go natural. Make certain you map out a proper time to really go and to return. Be careful for folks to. Made a little more small talk and then walked to our car. I looked back at them as I got into our car and I really could see them getting nude also. Somewhere around seventh grade, I started reading fantasy novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs and Conan publications by Robert E. Howard. The covers of these paperback books featured amazing paintings by Frank Frazetta or Boris Vallejo. A lot of them involved nudity by members of both sexes. The nudity wasn’t of a sexual nature; the characters in the paintings were involved in other tasks. Lots of them involved combat, where I figured nudity was unquestionably not advantageous.

The stories in the novels featured scenes of casual nudity quite frequently, particularly the Martian novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs. Both John Carter (from Earth) and the Martian characters thought spy beach of running around in the altogether. In fact, the John Carter character’s approach of transportation to Mars consistently required him waking up naked somewhere on the planet. My young head wondered what such a location would be like, where one could be free to be oneself and not be embarrassed.

I had only learned of “nudist colonies” as if they were a distant phenomenon (the movie “A Shot in the Dark” being the most celebrated reference). In high school, I heard rumors that there was a nudist camp somewhere in our county, but in the days before the Web, a teenager like me had no clue where to go for more information.

I ventured around to the art building and saw a sheet on a bulletin board advertisements for versions. Surprised the Supervisor

My lovely wife and I were interested in trying out the nudist experience. While in Ohio, on vacation, we chose to visit Paradise Gardens (outside Cincinnati). When we drove up the road, passed through the gates and found a parking place, we couldn’t see the office, just a sign pointing to where it was. Getting out of the vehicle, we shucked our clothes, grabbed a towel and went searching for the office.

When we explained to the manager that we were neophytes, she exclaimed, “This is your first time and also you’re already nude!”

Yes, we were, and we certainly enjoyed our say in the gardens.

OY VEY! My Jewish Mother

I was raised by a Jewish mother who taught me that showing skin was the worst thing on earth. She also instilled in me that my body was definitely not beautiful or perfect. I heard it all of the time. Cover up. I even had to wear shoes in the home when visitors came, because my toes were “weird looking” in her eyes.

At 25, my then boyfriend told me about a nude beach he was really going to every weekend. (Pirates Cove in Malibu). He wanted me to go with him. I believed he was nuts. I resisted at first, but then he finally talked me into it. He assured we’d leave if I couldn’t handle it.

I climbed the rocks with trepidation. We got onto the beach, I threw my stuff on the sand, looked around and went WOW! It took me maybe 20 seconds to take my clothing off. That entire summer was like the summer which I fell in love with myself and my body for the first time ever.

At the end of the summer, we broke up; and I never went to another nude beach or resort until I was 42. I missed it. I felt like something was missing. No one would go with me. Finally, at 42, some buddies admitted to me that they were nudists; and that they belong to Glen Eden. My reaction was pure excitement.

I begged them to take me. We ordered it for the following weekend. I was so excited that I made myself ill. Nothing was going to prevent me. I went anyhow, and that was the day I rediscovered myself-the day I became extremely alive and whole again. That was 1993. Now, I live in a nudist resort in Land O’ Lakes, Florida; and I’m so lucky to be able to reside here. As a single gal, I feel safe.

We Never Looked Back

We were curious, concerned and afraid, all at exactly the same time. We studied various alternatives and picked “The Terra Cotta Inn” at Palm Springs for our first time trip. Once we walked in, it was apparent this was not going to be our regular holiday. We were shown around the grounds by Mary Clare and then went to our room to get unpacked.

After a few minutes, we ventured outside and my wife was sure she would leave the bottom half of her swim suit on. After less than 5 minutes, she saw that she was the sole individual with anything on and immediately took them away.

On that first trip, we met fantastic people who have become life long friends and can’t envision life without nude diversion.

This Altered My Life

One day when my parents weren’t home I was in my robe alone in the house. I’d get two weeks home alone and it was summer so when they left I went outside and allow the robe drop to the ground. I recognized the cool summer breeze and the way that it felt so good so I got into the hot tub. Amazing!

I have known folks who were nude at home a lot of the time; yet never referred to themselves as a N or N. My X never referred to herself as a nudist either; even though she participated in social nudism. Those I ‘ve known who did call themselves nudists or naturists were active societal nudists, with AANR memberships and resort/club membership. They used either term to “authenticate” their active engagement as well as commitment to the nudist philosophy.
I do not believe you need trouble with defining or labeling your nude inclinations – unless you’re actively seeking a societal nudist surroundings. But should you still feel the need to define what you do, I believe the term “household-nudist” is relevant to your situation. As far as your last question, it depends on your intent. Should you get a kick out of the notion of other people seeing your wife nude, then you certainly might be venturing into hedonistic territory. I had an excellent time… i was a bit nervous initially, spent alot of time on my towel. But eventually I overcame the nerves and relaxed and had an excellent time. I never needed to leave. I ended up staying nude as long as I could.
So I think both my experiences were very positive. I aspire to get to WTP sometime this year, to experience a club type atmosphere.
